Granit

As I promised yesterday, here is the post from the other Pieces lacquer I own. This is Granit, a dark grey cream. I told you in yesterdays post how I feel about the formula of these polishes so if you didn’t read that one, do it now!

I think this is a great color wich is kinda unique for a lacquers sold in a store. At least in the Netherlands. I know some other brands which sell grey nailpolish but that aren’t that many brands that are available for us in the Netherlands offline. I used 3 coats to cover my nails completely. The polish dries quickly, even without a fast drying topcoat the polish is touchdry in a few minutes. I like the pieces lacquers, so if you have an oppertunity to get them, do!
Funky Holo Fun
When I did this manicure it was really sunny outside, so I wanted to do something with a holographic polish. So I digged out the Glamrock polishes from Essence. I have all three of them, but I used the light grey/silver one and the pink one today.

I decided to go with pink at first. This is made in the sunlight, so you can really see the holographic glitters. Love it! But I wasn’t satisfied. So I decided to pimp it a little with a moon manicure.

Hmm… Nope, not what I planned to do. So I took it all of again. But I really wanted to do something with this color. So, lets try a french! The pink on the silver would be a better combination cause the silver isn’t opaque enough.

yeah! That’s what I wanted to see. So this is the end result of playing around with two of my holo’s.

Tell me, do you play around with your polishes and get to a result like this one?
DC Days – Serendipity
Last but not least, this is Serendipity. It’s from the 2010 spring collection. The color is a bit off on the photo (my canon is in Spain right now, my parents took it on their vacation, so I made this photo with my samsung). It’s actually a grey blueish color, but it seems more babyblue on the photo than it’s in real life.
It only needed 2 coats to be full opague. It’s quite an unique color in my collection. It’s not grey, not blue with a creme finish. I think I haven’t anything in my stash that comes near to this.
I hoped you like the DC days! Tomorrow there will be the final post, with a giveaway! See you then
London’s Weather Forecast
As most of you already know the drug-store brand Catrice renewed there polish collection! And of course I needed to have one (or two…) from this collection! Here you can see London’s Weather Forecast. A grey color with a slightly silver shimmer in it.
I read on a few blogs they find this formula kinda thick, but I didn’t had any trouble with it. It only needed two coats. Yep, I know for sure that I’m gonna buy a lot more colours of this collection!
