Teeez – Cool 02

Last month I saw a few posts on other blogs about the brand Teeez. As I’m curious I wanted to test that brand myself, but in my neighboorhood there isn’t a store nearby. So this was going on the to-do list. When I was in a shop a visit at a regular base I bumped accidentily into this brand again. They weren’t on the list of shops that sell Teeez at the Teeez website so I didn’t knew that they sold it there. Lucky me! I bought 2 lacquers, the first one is this blue called Cool 02. It is an holographic polish so I will wear it in the summer. The application was really great, this is only 2 coats. The formula was great, it applied like a dream and it seemed to be a regular polish. Holographic lacquers sometimes are horrible when applying a second or third coat. This one didn’t. Dry time was also good. Overall opinion is great! Will test the weartime in the summer when I can enjoy the holographic effect. For now I took a picture with flash so you can actually see it’s holographic

Opi DS Extravagance

Today I’m showing you me second OPI polish. This is DS Extravagance. I still can’t get used to the extra wide brush they have. I can apply polish on my pinky in 1 stroke, but I will take my cuticles at the same time. I’m just having way too small nails for the extra wide brush.

Besides the big brush the application was great. It only needed 2 coats and dry time was real quick. Of course this is a holographic polish like most of the Designer Series polishes, so the color and finish couldn’t do anything wrong. I really like the color of this polish and I got a lot of compliments on my work wearing this polish. Speaking about work. I already told you that my work is the BEST way to test how nailpolishes and topcoats hold.. Well, I think I found my winning combination. I will make a post about this topcoat really soon but I LOVE it. The topcoat I’m testing right now is the David polish. I do understand why this one was the best from the topcoat test at The Edge of Sanity. This topcoat is truly a-mazing!

Anyhow, enough about the topcoat. I really love this color and I think it suits me. I told you before I really like my purple/pink polishes at the moment so this one is a winner. Will use this one again very soon.

Wild at Heart

I was very curious about this one. I do know a few people who own this polish and they were enthousiastic about it. I’m not so sure. I do like the holographic effect and the color but I do like OMG from ChinaGlaze more. The holo is a bit more subtile in this one.

Art de Lautrec

This is 08B from Art de Lautrec. A jelly brown base with holographic glitters. This are 3 coats. The application is just like any other jelly. I’m not really a fan of jelly-based polishes. I just don’t like it.. At all.. I will swatch the other ones for you (I have got a red, pink and purple one) but only expect swatches.

Talk to you later

Last days the weather in the Netherlands was great. Really sunny and hot. Perfect day to get my holo’s out of my Helmer. Of course, when I wanted to took photo’s of TTYL from ChinaGlaze the sun left me and now you can’t see the holo effect as much as I liked it. In sunlight the holo is more like LOL .

TTYL is a pinkish brown  color, of course with an holographic effect. When there’s no sunlight near it’s almost a nude polish, so suitable if you may not wear really bright colors and you work in a office with no sunlight. The polish gets more spectacular when in sunshine as all holos. This polish is best with a ridgefiller as a basecoat.

Digital

I promised at the hi-res post to post swatches of Milani’s Digital, so here it is. Dry time was really quick, application was smooth. I’m suprised about how smooth the polish was even without topcoat cause when you take a look at it it seems kinda gritty. It’s not at all. Think my jaw dropped a little when I touched it haha.

Color is great, application is great, what else do you want from a nailpolish?

LOL

This is my third polish from the OMG collection from China Glaze. This is LOL. Holographic colors are best viewed with shining sun cause the holographic effect shows the best when sunshine hits it. So today it was 30 degrees Celcius in the Netherlands, what polish would be better than a holographic? I just received this one, good day to wear it for the first time.

Pretty huh? I really like this one. Application is great but with all the OMG polishes I own it’s better to use a ridgefiller cause otherwise you will see the imperfections of your nails.. I like the formula from DV8 and TMI better, they seem to dry a little quicker. When I did the second layer with LOL it kinda took the first layer with it.

I know most of the people hate holographic polishes with topcoat, but I haven’t got any problem with it. I used LOL with 2 layers of Seche Vite (the color itself was 2 layers).

Pink Holo

So, this was my birthday mani. Really simple one. This is la girl matte in Matte rose, layered with a coat of Art de Lautrec’s 16B. I didn’t like the matte pink on me and the art de lautrec one was standing right next to me, so I decided to use it as a layer polish. I like the result, but it bored me after a day haha!

Milani Hi-Res

My current manicure is this lovely Milani holo. It’s from their 3D Holographic collection. This is the purple hi-res. I am absolutely in love with this color. It’s not really holo, more like a lot of holo glitter parts. Doesn’t mean that I love it.

Even in daylight you notice the holo effect. Milani did a great job with these! I also have the pink (Digital) one, so expect a post of that one too.

Funky Holo Fun

When I did this manicure it was really sunny outside, so I wanted to do something with a holographic polish. So I digged out the Glamrock polishes from Essence. I have all three of them, but I used the light grey/silver one and the pink one today.

I decided to go with pink at first. This is made in the sunlight, so you can really see the holographic glitters. Love it! But I wasn’t satisfied. So I decided to pimp it a little with a moon manicure.

Hmm… Nope, not what I planned to do. So I took it all of again. But I really wanted to do something with this color. So, lets try a french! The pink on the silver would be a better combination cause the silver isn’t opaque enough.

yeah! That’s what I wanted to see. So this is the end result of playing around with two of my holo’s.

Tell me, do you play around with your polishes and get to a result like this one?
