Ladybug

A while ago I saw a nailart with ladybugs. I don’t remember where and unfortunately I didn’t bookmarked the website, so if you recognize this nailart and you know who made it originally please leave a comment so I can mention it in my post!

They are so easy to make! You just need a basecolor, and a white and black striper. Apply your base, with a black striper you make the first lines, with the white one you make a little accent next to the black lines. Take the black one again and make little dots and don’t forget to give your ladybug a little head and you’re done. They look a better if the stripes are thinner than mine. This technique can be used for a lot of different designs, I got some ideas after doing these.

Electrified

I think most of you know one of the bestsellers of Diamond Cosmetics, Sparkling Sherry one of the most amazing colors I own. I love it. When I first did a manicure with Electrified I had a feeling it looked similar to Sparkling Sherry. It is lighter and the formula is not really the same but I do like this one very much. This is from the Color Craze collection I told you about yesterday. The pigment in this polish is a-ma-zing. I was really surprised to see this could be a one-coater. I always do a second coat, just because I want to know for sure to coverage is even and I correct the lacquer at my cuticles on the second coat. I don’t know what it is about this lacquer, but I really like it. It sure gives your nails a lot of attention!

Breathless Blue

This color from LA Colors kinda surprised me. In the bottle it looks more sheer than it is on my nails. It is almost full coverage at three coats. I did my manicure a bit on a hurry so it isn’t full coverage at these pictures. I think it will be more opaque when you take a bit more time to let it dry between the coats. Three coats is a good score for a lacquer this light. Most of the time I need a lot more than that.

Application is great, the only thing I didn’t like as much is that it took some time to dry. I like the lacquers from LA Colors. The ones I tried are easy on their application and they have really nice colors. I own quite a bunch of the Color Craze collection. Breathless Blue is from their normal line. And another thing I really like is that they are really cheap! The Color Craze is sold by Boozyshop and they are about €3,-. You can also purchase these lacquers at CherryCulture.

World Cup 2010

So, today the dutch team plays the first game, and of course I have my nails in style haha! First I started with another manicure but it was quite a disaster. Couldn’t get straight and even lines and it just didn’t worked out the way I planned. It annoyed me so I took the whole thing off and started with another idea.

So this was the first idea. See how the lines are not straight and how the white part is waaay bigger at my pinky? I’m really irritated by my nails if they are not the way I want to.

For this manicure I used a catrice french manicure base (for the white, but it wasn’t white enough). Then with a paint brush the blue color. It’s Static Electricity from LA Colors. With another paint brush (otherwise you mix the blue and red together) the red color. This is a red from Etos in #A188. Now pick a orange color. I used Orange You Sexy from Diamond Cosmetics. So, if the color you used as a basecolor is a opague white you should be done. Mine wasn’t, so I re-did the white with a LA colors art deco striper in white. Finish with topcoat and do a cleanup and you are done!

Current

Current is a sheer one from the color craze collection. I think it would be really cool if you layer one coat of current over a black polish to give it that green and blue shimmer. Yes, blue shimmer. It’s not really that clear, but when I looked at my nails in sunlight I was surprised to see some blue shimmer. You can actually see it at my pinky at this picture. This is 3 coats.

Nuclear Energy

Don’t you love those names? The Color Crazy collection from LA Colors have all those really cool funky names. I love it! It’s better than those brands that give their products only a number. What’s the deal with that? And of course, at some point they give product the same number as another one. So when you are trying to buy one specific product you end up buying the wrong one cause they used the same number.

Anyway. This purple polish needed 3 coats to have full coverage. In the picture it’s only two and it’s not even on my nails. I really like this purple. It looks like a jelly but I’m not sure. I had a hard time with this polish, it just don’t wanted to work with me. It’s really difficult to get this one even on your nails.

Naked Nails ft Pip

Today I wanted to share you how my bare naked nails look like. I hated my polish-free nails for a really long time, but I’m getting used to it. Sometimes I just don’t want to wear polish so I need to look at this baby’s. I almost never wear basecoat so my nails are a little yellow. I really don’t like them this short. I like my nails to be long, but after my vacation 2 of them just decided to break down on me. I dislike nails to be in different lenghts, so they are all shorties right now. Well, thank god they will grow again:D

Of course I’m not gonna show you only my naked nails. That would be kinda boring. So this is Pretty in Pink from the normal collection from LA Colors. It’s kinda sheer, so I’m not wearing this really often. Only when I need my nails to be neutral.

When I’m wearing this color I think about my grandma and my teddybear lol. My teddy was named Pip (after pippy). It reminds me about my grandma becasue she is always wearing colors like this. She still does pedicures for people and wants her hands and nails to be cared for, so she is always wearing nailpolish. Guess that’s where I got the roots for my nailpolish addiction ;)

When I see shimmer in pink polishes it’s most of the time gold. So not surprising that this polish has that golden shimmer too.

Static Electricity

I love to wear this color on a work day, cause it’s almost the same color as the logo of the company I work for (for those who are curious, I work for Halfords, google it;)) It’s a bit darker than it shows up in this picture.

This is more like the real color. I really like this one. I don’t see many people that wear a blue polish like this one. Most of the time it’s more the minty ones.

Marleen told me that I forgot to mention wich polish this is. Anyways, it’s La Colors – Static Electricity

Atomic

Oh i love this color! When I first saw swatches from the Color Craze collection from LA colors I knew I needed this one so bad! The color is more like the second picture or like my pinky. It’s really hard to catch this color on cam.

The application from the Color Craze collection is okay. It dries really fast so you need to speed up your manicure, otherwise it’s gets a bit streaky. The collection has some great colors wich I’m gonna show you in the next few posts.

Live from outta space

This is Live from the color craze collection from LA Colors. I think it’s really cool for some party but it won’t up ending at my nails for a normal school or work day. It’s way to spacy and shiny for that. It’s kinda like Millenium from China Glaze, but a bit more shimmery. It’s good to use with Konad.
