Milani Blue Flash

Last in this series is Blue Flash from the One Coat Glitter collection. A gorgeous blue glitter. I really like the glitters in the one coat glitter collection. They are easy to apply and only take 2 coats to cover. Removal is quite easy for a glitter lacquer.

Gritty without topcoat, same as Purple Gleam. This one has a clear base and dries with silver and blue glitters.

With one coat of topcoat. This one needs a thick coat or at least 2 to make it feel like a normal lacquer instead of a gritty one when you go over your nails with your finger.

I still recommened everyone that loves glitterpolishes to buy these ones. They are amazing and I after these I also want to get the other ones in this collection.

Milani – Gems

I promised you to do swatches from the other two lacquers I own from this collection. Today i’ll show you Gems. It is the polish in the middle of the above picture. A sheer glitter topper.

I picked Diamond Cosmetics Mystical Knights for this manicure. I like that color under most of my glitter “topcoats”. It is a really dark blue, almost black. Since I don’t like pure black with my skincolor this one is a really good option. This is 2 coats with one coat of Gems.

As you can see Gems has a clear base color and it will take you a lot of coats to get complete coverage if you only want the glitters on your nails. Personally I don’t mind that, because I bought this one to make my manicures a bit more special. I know for a fact that Suzanne from DeltaCephei tried the polish without a basecoat and she needed 5 coats to cover her nail. You love glitter or you don’t ;)

For those who want to know. You can buy the Milani FX Jewel at CherryCulture. There are 2 other polish, a silver and a gold one. They are for sale for $4,99. I haven’t seen the one coat glitters yet, but I’ve read at Scrangie’s post that it is a Spring Collection and won’t be available till February.

Milani Jewel FX and One Coat Glitter

A while ago I saw some swatches at Scrangie from this collection. I drooled over her pictures. They looked so amazing! I especially likede Purple Gleam, Gems and Blue Flash. And guess what, Melissa her mom lives in Miami and could get me these polishes. Yay for Melissa and her mom!

Today I want you to show Purple Gleam. Above is a picture without topcoat. As you can see it dries kinda matte and gritty. The polish has a clear basecoat and is filled with purple and black glitter. The black glitter seems to be more the basecolor since it is the purple glitter that really pops.

If you put a thick coat on your nails it is actually a one coater, but I liked it better with two. It dries really fast which is quite normal with glitter lacquers.

And last but not least, a swatch with topcoat. OMG. I’m really surprised by this lacquer. Love it! It is so gorgeous and unique. If you can get any of these lacquers, don’t hesitate. They rock! When the weather is better than it is at this moment I will swatch Gems and Blue Flash.

Digital

I promised at the hi-res post to post swatches of Milani’s Digital, so here it is. Dry time was really quick, application was smooth. I’m suprised about how smooth the polish was even without topcoat cause when you take a look at it it seems kinda gritty. It’s not at all. Think my jaw dropped a little when I touched it haha.

Color is great, application is great, what else do you want from a nailpolish?

Milani Hi-Res

My current manicure is this lovely Milani holo. It’s from their 3D Holographic collection. This is the purple hi-res. I am absolutely in love with this color. It’s not really holo, more like a lot of holo glitter parts. Doesn’t mean that I love it.

Even in daylight you notice the holo effect. Milani did a great job with these! I also have the pink (Digital) one, so expect a post of that one too.
