Rimmel

This is one of the first lacquers I bought when I started to wear nailpolish again. It’s a color from the Rimmel Lycra collection. I wore this in that time quite often. Nowadays I don’t really use it anymore. The color is a peachy pink with silver shimmer. Application was okay, but I had to thin the polish a bit, but that’s okay since it’s quite old. Dry time was horrific. After half an hour I gave up, it just didn’t dried. When I applied seche it smugded and I had to do it over again. I just swatched it for you guys, don’t think I’m gonna wear this any time soon because I really hate lacquers that don’t dry.. I just do not have the patient to wait for hours at a lacquer to dry.

Gradient Nails

So I did some gradient nails earlier but yesterday I was in the mood to try something out. I found a new technique in doing these kind of nails wich is very easy and I’m sure all of you can do it at this way. I will film this soon so you can see how this is done.

I used two of my favourite colors from Diamond Cosmetics, the blue one is oh tiff! and the red/peach one is Calypso. I like the way it turned out, it’s not really two colors you would use for a combination but I like to try out things that ar not so ordinary.

It’s really easy to do, just take a sponge, choose two colors you like and put them on the sponge. I used a round makeup sponge and cut it in half. It’s easier to do when you cut it cause otherwise you will have a round surface wich doesn’t make it easy to sponge the colors on your nails. Put the two colors next to each other on the sponge and dip/sponge it on your nails. Try to work fast cause when the polish is already drying you will pull it of of your nails and you get holes wich isn’t very attractive. It will take two or three times to get the color opaque but the effect is really cool. You will need to clean up your fingers/nails after doing this. At least, I needed to do that cause my fingers and cuticles were kinda blue with red…

DC Days – Orange Blush

So, today the last two post with DC polishes. Are you getting sick of it already? This is Orange Blush from the 2010 spring collection, the color number is 351. If you gonna order it at boozyshop you can find it by that number. It’s a bit sheer so it needed 3 coats to be opague. Well, that’s good enough for me. It’s a really great spring color.
